Manchester based 3D animation agency AHD Imaging released a video Christmas Greeting this year in the form of a one-minute short featuring a down-and-out robot who can’t get a part in a CGI commercial. It seems to have gathered quite a bit of interest from advertising agencies and the company has now put it up on YouTube so everyone can have a look and of course generate a hefty amount of publicity for itself. MD Anthony Hartley-Denton said “We sent the link of the film to clients and friends in the industry and were pleasantly surprised by the numbers of views linking to our website. This prompted us to load it on to YouTube which is better geared to handle multi views.” This is likely to go one of two ways - either this blog will be the last you hear of poor old AHD168 or Pixar will sign him up sharpish for a robotic version of A Christmas Carol or Oliver or something.
