We realise there’s a recession and we’re not trying to make you feel worse by showing you the end of the world but, as doomsday videos go, this one rocks. And it’s certainly the best way to ease into the first dull, boring, humdrum back to slavery work Monday of 2009. We’ve all seen Armageddon - even the torturous Bruce Willis teary farewell - so we know that any giant rock hitting our little spinning blue and green ball will wipe us out. What better way to update this scenario than by Discovery Channel creating a glorious video - in HD too - of what would happen if something the size of Apophis impacted.We’re not saying get the nukes in space but there are thousands of big-ass rocks hiding out there in the dark and according to NASA we can only see a small number of them and, even then, way too late to do anything except hide under the table.
